HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE (HGH) PRECURSOR

"The overall deterioration of the body that comes with age is not inevitable." -Dr. Daniel Rudman, M.D.

The proliferation of HGH products in the marketplace today can make choices confusing for the average consumer. In the following pages, we will discuss what HGH is, what it can do for you, and how our product can give you the benefits associated with increased HGH production. Finally, we will include the answers to some commonly asked questions.

Background and History

Human Growth Hormone, or HGH, is one of the most abundant hormones secreted by the anterior pituitary gland, affecting the growth of cells, bones, muscles and other organs. It is responsible for keeping our bodies young and in good health. The production of HGH is at its highest during the rapid-growth phase of adolescence. Children who receive too little of the hormone remain dwarfs, while children receiving too much become giants.

The study of HGH has been around since the 1970's, when the hormone was originally investigated as a treatment for dwarfism. In fact, synthetic Human Growth Hormone was developed pharmaceutically into a product called Somatotropin, which is the sole treatment for dwarfism.

As with other endocrine hormones (i.e., estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin, etc.), HGH production declines with age-to such an extent that a 61-year-old man produces only about 20% of the hormone as produced by a 21-year-old man. It is the reduction of HGH secretion by the pituitary that produces the symptoms of the disease we call aging-increased fat, loss of muscle, torpidity, lack of sexual activity, diminished healing ability, osteoporosis, and so on. The good news is that HGH replacement therapy has a beneficial effect and can actually reverse the symptoms of aging dramatically.

The Anti-Aging Challenge

Over the last several decades, science has provided human beings with therapies and treatments that have increased our life expectancy. Better medicine, replacement surgery, nutritional guidance, and dietary supplements have all contributed to this increase. Scientists today feel that in the not-too-distant future, the average life expectancy can and will be extended to 100 years of age and more. Some experts even feel that the human body can live well into the 120s and even 140s.

The search for anti-aging therapies is not a new one. Since man first realized death was inevitable, he has been trying to find a way to extend his life. In this century, many clinics have been established that are devoted to anti-aging research and treatment. Gerovital H3 injections at Ana Aslan's clinic in Romania attracted tens of thousands of people searching for a longer, better life; and tens of thousands more-many of them celebrities-have been injected with fresh fetal lamb cells at Clinique La Prairie in Switzerland. However, neither of these treatments, nor any of the other myriad anti-aging treatments, has ever produced identifiable, consistent, provable results.

Human Growth Hormone-The Ultimate Anti-Ager

The clinical evidence published by Dr. Daniel Rudman in the New England Journal of Medicine proved conclusively that HGH could reverse the aging process. Working with volunteers aged 61 to 81 at the Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Dr. Rudman achieved startling results. After six months of injections of synthetically manufactured growth hormone, patients reversed the aging process from 10 to 20 years. Since these published findings, thousands of additional studies have substantiated the efficacy of HGH supplementation therapy.

HGH affects almost every cell in the body, helping to regenerate skin, bones, heart, lungs, liver and kidneys to their former youthful levels. The immune system is revitalized. Heart attack and stroke factors are diminished. Emphysema patients find their oxygen intake improves. Osteoporosis is prevented. The metabolism is revved up to former highs, selectively reducing fat in the abdomen, hips, waist and thighs while adding lean muscle mass.

An increase in HGH production also serves as a powerful aphrodisiac, restoring sexual potency in older men. It also improves mood, restores a sense of wellness, and promotes deeper, more restful sleep.

HGH is also responsible for many cosmetic effects, such as smoothing wrinkles, improving hair and nail growth, and removing cellulite. Recent research suggests that HGH holds great promise for sufferers of Alzheimer's disease as well. In fact, everything associated with aging may be due totally, or in part, to the decline in Human Growth Hormone production.

HGH and Secretagogues

Most of the Human Growth Hormone products on the market today contain amino acid "stacks", or combinations, that stimulate the pituitary gland to produce HGH. This is important to note. The products themselves do not contain HGH. The overwhelming majority of HGH products work by stimulating the pituitary gland to produce the hormone. In other words, they are secretagogues.

Secretagogues are substances that work by boosting hormone production naturally. In this way they are different from steroids, which work by using synthetic forms of the hormones. Secretagogues are natural, often herbal in nature, using no synthetic ingredients. Secretagogues are designed to coax the pituitary to release its own growth hormone. After all, as we grow older, our bodies do not stop producing HGH, they just produce substantially less of it. These natural nutrients have been well documented to increase growth hormone and may, for some, even exceed the effectiveness of HGH injections.

HGH Stimulators

In the process which we have referred to as "stacking"-that is, packaging the right nutrients in the right proportions-and taking them at the right time, we can derive optimal benefits, without using synthetics, steroids, or injections. The HGH releasers which have the greatest proven benefit are the amino acids Arginine, Lysine, and Glutamine.

Arginine is what is known as an essential amino acid, meaning it is not manufactured in the body but must be ingested through diet. Claims for Arginine include an increase in fat burning and muscle building; it strengthens the thymus gland, thereby boosting immunity and fighting cancer. It also promotes the healing of wounds while generally protecting and detoxifying the body. Lastly, it enhances male fertility.

The amino acid Lysine boosts the effectiveness of Arginine and affects growth. On it its own, Lysine has also been attributed with fighting viruses such as herpes.

Glutamine is a conditional essential amino acid. While abundant and one of the most utilized amino acids, it may not always be produced by the body in sufficient quantities. Without sufficiently available levels of Glutamine, the stomach atrophies, and nutrients aren't well absorbed, which can result in lost muscle and decreased immune system function.

Another potent HGH-releasing stimulator is Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA). GABA is a precursor to, and breakdown product of, Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate (GHB). This is a substance that occurs naturally in every cell of the human body, including the brain. A neurotransmitter, it is involved in regulating the anterior pituitary, the gland responsible for the secretion of HGH.

Clinical Testing

Perhaps the largest study of the effects of HGH on humans has taken place at the Palm Springs Life Extension Institute under the direction of Dr. Edmund Chein, Director of the institute.

Dr. Chein has developed a program that he claims has been 100% effective for all of his patients. He guarantees that his patients will experience an increase in bone density of 1.5 - 2.5% every six months and an increase of 10% in lean muscle mass. These processes may continue until the patient attains the body composition of a 20-year-old.

The following assessment figures were derived from randomly selected, self-assessment questionnaires completed by 202 patients during the term of their therapy between the years of 1994 and 1996.

Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1)

IGF-1, or Somatomedin C, is the major member of a family of proteins synthesized by the liver in response to growth hormone stimulus. Because of the relationship between IGF-1 and HGH, patients are normally tested for IGF-1 prior to taking a supplement designed to promote increased secretion of HGH by the pituitary gland. The supplement is considered effective if IGF-1 levels increase after taking it.

IGF-1 is a natural protein required for normal growth and health maintenance. IGF-1 is structurally and chemically similar to insulin and is normally present in almost all body tissues and fluids including human breast milk and saliva. Abnormally low levels of IGF-1 are associated with several disease conditions including dwarfism, malnutrition, osteoporosis and infertility. It has been suggested that a decline in IGF-1 levels in human tissue causes many of the degenerative changes associated with aging.

There is increasing evidence that aging results in-you guessed it-a decrease in IGF-1 levels, resulting in sagging skin, hair loss, increase in body fat and a general reduction in immune system efficiency. Taking a supplement that efficiently stimulates the increased production of HGH will, as a result, increase the levels of Somatomedin C, and this increase can be measured. It is this measurement that serves as the baseline for determining the effectiveness of any HGH supplement.

IGF-1 is not HGH. It is a metabolic breakdown product made from HGH by the liver. IGF-1 has some hormone activity by itself, but HGH in its pure form has much broader activity. Because HGH remains in the blood for only a few minutes before attaching to cell receptors, IGF-1 is used as an easily obtained but partial indicator. IGF-1 stays in the blood for a day or more. IGF-1 seems to be reliable as a guideline for internal pituitary production. But people differ widely in the amount of IGF-1 produced from HGH.

What Eternex HGH™ Can Do For You

Eternex HGH™ is a 100% natural, oral, affordable HGH releasing complex. It is an all-natural growth hormone releasing compound in the form of a great tasting effervescent drink, spray or tablet form.

Eternex HGH™ works by assisting the body's own ability to produce HGH naturally, in an effective manner. Once reserved only for the wealthy because of its cost, this product is now available to everyone. You can renew your growth hormone levels naturally with this pleasant tasting, oral dosage.

All of the HGH products on the market work as secretagogues, or precursors, meaning they do not actually contain HGH but contain specific nutrients designed to stimulate the pituitary gland into releasing Growth Hormone. The most important factor to be considered is how these ingredients are delivered and how effectively they are able to reach the pituitary gland.

The three key elements in the formula for Eternex HGH™ are the amino acid blend, the glucose polymers , and the anterior pituitary substance. The amino acids and the anterior pituitary substance are the actual stimulators promoting the release of growth hormone, while the glucose polymers serve as the "delivery system" that protect the amino acids from being destroyed in the stomach and ensure they reach the blood system.

The glucose polymers included in the Eternex HGH™ formula are the main difference between Eternex HGH™ products and others currently on the market.

With the exception of direct injection of synthetic growth hormone, an effervescent formula containing a glucose polymer delivery system, such as the one in Eternex HGH, is clinically proven to give the best results in stimulating the body's release of its own growth hormone.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Relating to HGH

Q: What is Human Growth Hormone?

A: Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is the "master" hormone of the body, produced by the anterior pituitary gland. Its release is controlled by the hypothalamus of the brain. Research has shown that HGH production declines as we age. It is believed that a stressful environment and the ingestion of toxins can rapidly increase this decline.

Q: How Does Human Growth Hormone Work?

A: Human Growth Hormone (HGH) stimulates virtually all body systems, especially the immune system. It increases the metabolic rate which helps break down fat, build proteins, and create lean muscle.

Q: Has There Been a Lot of Testing Done on HGH with People?

A: Yes, extensive testing has been done for more than 20 years with HGH. One of the most extensive tests was done by Dr. Daniel Rudman who published his clinical findings in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine (see above).

Q: Does Human Growth Hormone Have Any Known Side Effects?

A: There are some people who have mild joint pain in the first month while using an HGH stimulator. This is a result of the repair of damaged cartilage as HGH begins to work.

Q: Since Human Growth Hormone is Fairly New, Are There Any Side Effects That We Don't Know About Yet?

A: Human Growth Hormone is not new. It has always been present naturally in the human body. What is new is that there are now products like ours which can help restore declining HGH production to its former levels.

Q: Does Human Growth Hormone Cause Cancer?

A: Actually, quite the opposite is true. HGH strengthens your immune system and can actually work to prevent cancer as well as a host of other diseases.

Q: Some Human Growth Hormone Products Contain Bovine Nervous Tissue. Can I Get Mad Cow Disease From This?

A: The disease is referred to in humans as new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and can only occur if the tissue is harvested from a cow infected with Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy. The Bovine nervous tissue in HGH products sold in the US cannot cause mad cow disease as the disease has never existed in this country (this statement has been verified by the U.S.D.A.).

Q: Will Human Growth Hormone Help My Children?

A: Human Growth Hormone will not harm your children, but for people under 20 years old, HGH replacement therapy is not necessary since the production of HGH in their bodies is already at extremely high levels.

Q: How Does Human Growth Hormone Get Into My Body? Orally Or By Injection?

A: Our product is taken orally and is carried through the digestive system by our patented glucose polymer delivery system.

Q: How Fast Will I Get Results?

A: Some of that is dependent on your physiology. Some feel more energy in one week, others in one month. Most people will see definite results in four weeks. Changes in muscles and libido will be noticeable after four to six months.

Q: Is Human Growth Hormone A Drug?

A: No. Human Growth Hormone is a hormone produced by the body.

Q: Is Human Growth Hormone Approved by the FDA?

A: Only injectable Human Growth Hormone is regulated by the FDA. Our product is a dietary supplement.

Q: Are There Any Long Term Implications?

A: Yes. Human Growth Hormone replacement therapy is the foundation of a comprehensive anti-aging program. The largest long-term implication is improved quality of life and the maintenance of a youthful physical condition.

HGH Glossary of Terms

Amino Acids are the "building blocks" of the body. Besides building cells and repairing tissue, they form antibodies to combat invading bacteria and viruses. They are part of the enzyme and hormonal system and they build nucleoproteins (RNA and DNA). Aminos also carry oxygen throughout the body and participate in muscle activity. When protein is broken down through digestion, the result is 22 known amino acids. Eight are essential, meaning the body cannot manufacture them. The rest are non-essential, meaning the body, with proper nutrition, can manufacture them.

Arginine is a conditional essential amino acid. Claims for Arginine include an increase in fat burning and muscle building; it strengthens the thymus gland, thereby boosting immunity and fighting cancer; it releases growth hormone. Arginine is used in the body to release Nitric Oxide (NO), a potent vasodilator and immune modulator. It also promotes the healing of wounds while generally protecting and detoxifying the body. Lastly, it enhances male fertility.

The amino acid Lysine is an essential amino acid that boosts the effectiveness of Arginine and affects growth. It aids in the production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes. On it its own, Lysine has also been attributed with fighting viruses such as herpes by improving the balance of nutrients that reduce viral growth.

Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid that transmits nerve impulses to the brain. It also helps overcome depression, increases mental alertness and promotes the healthy functioning of the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands.

Considered to be nature's "Brain Food", Pyroglutamic Acid is a non-essential amino acid that plays a pivotal role in brain chemistry. Pyroglutamic Acid improves mental capacities and enhances the ability to focus, remember, and learn. It also alleviates fatigue and is recommended to help control alcoholism, schizophrenia, and the craving for sugar.

The Anterior Pituitary Substance (Bovine) is a vacuum dried powder processed from the pituitary gland of a cow. The theory is that like strengthens like and that the additive stimulates the anterior pituitary gland in the human body to secrete more growth hormone.

Glucose Polymers are a pure source of carbohydrates derived from natural sources and are used to replenish the body's glycogen (sugar) stores. They are ideal for sustaining high levels of energy during training sessions.

Citric Acid is a tribasic acid found in many fruits such as lemons and limes and is used chiefly as a flavoring additive to commercial beverages.

The second most abundant element on earth, Silica is the dioxide form of silicon and is used by the body to form strong bones by "fixing" calcium into the bone matrix.

Acesulfame K is a sugar substitute used primarily in soft drinks and is chosen for its low calorie content.

A precursor to Vitamin A, Beta Carotene is an antioxidant that many scientists believe has the ability to fight cancer. It is often included in foods and supplements as a coloring agent (as is the case with our HGH product).
